Nigeria oil bill to outlaw flaring

A newly drafted Petroleum Industry Bill is being finalised which will mandate oil companies operating in Nigeria to stop flaring gas by the end of this year or risk facing fines following complaints about light pollution from orange flares lighting up the night sky in the Niger Delta.
