Vitacress identified as source of River Bourne oil spill, Lubetech assisting
5th May 2012

According to BBC News a food company has been identified as the source of an oil spill on a Hampshire river.
Andover-based Vitacress Salads Managing Director Mike Rushworth said the leak, which affected a 10km (six-mile) stretch of the River Bourne, was "very regrettable" after staff discovered the leak on Thursday. The firm said it was working with The Environment Agency (EA) to establish the cause of the spill, estimated to have deposited around 1,000 litres of light oil into the river according to the Agency (and not 10,000 as originally reported by the BBC).
Lubetech are continuing to supply specialised products to assist in the recovery operation.
