Eire: Hazardous Waste Legislation update

Recent changes arising from the European Communities (Shipments of Hazardous Waste Exclusively within Ireland)
Regulations 2011 now sees the old C1 form, hazardous waste consignment note, replaced by the new Waste Transfer Form
(WTF).
Under legislation introduced by the Department of Environment, Coommunity and Local Government, Dublin City Council, the National TFS Office becae the sole authority for the administration of hazardous waste movements within Southern Ireland in July 2011.
Also from the 1st of February 2012, Offaly County Council has been designated as the Nominated Authority for the processing of all new Waste Collection Permit applications and the review of applications received on or after that date.
