Junior Graphic Designer - Head Office, Hedge End
Lubetech are UK-leading manufacturers and design innovators in absorbents and spill control products helping industry protect the environment from contamination caused by fluid spills. Due to ongoing growth we have a freshly-created position at our office in Hedge End for a newly-qualified & talented MAC-specialist graphic / web designer / creative person to join our small Marketing Team.
About the role:
Ideally suited to a college-leaver looking to experience their first full-time in-house role, the office-based Junior Graphic Designer will be responsible for internal & external-facing projects including design for print & online media. As well as supporting H.O. in-house departments, the successful candidate will contribute a range of marketing materials including printed collateral & press adverts for our distributor network.
The ideal candidate is a fast, innovative & creative thinker with keen interest in the environment and industrial creative design. You have an excellent working knowledge of all Macintosh software packages including; In-Design, Quark, Acrobat, Photoshop and Illustrator. A good understanding of all pre-press/artwork and proofing mechanisms, strong character due to high-pressure environment and effective communication skills are prerequisites.
Duties / Responsibilities:
· Quickly produce effective “creative” for a variety of demanding briefs.
· Contribute and deliver both creative concepts and solutions for seasonal campaigns.
· Prioritise workload and manage design / artwork jobs from brief to delivery.
· Ensure all deadlines are met.
· Present finalised ideas and concepts to the marketing team.
Essential Experience / Skills:
· Ability to design and deliver in a busy environment
· Good print and production knowledge
· Exceptional Apple Mac skills
· A flexible approach to workloads
· Ability to think `outside the box`
A driving license would be advantageous but is not essential.
Hours will be full time, 8am-5pm Mon-Fri. 20 days annual holiday entitlement
Rate of Pay: £6-£8 per hour, depending on skills and experience
